Curated Home

Curated Home

This abandoned property was purchased and entirely restored by Studio IQL.  At the end of the complete renovation, each room was furnished with pieces by all of our favorite local artists, fabricators, and collectors.  A series of events held at the property resulted in over 500 people passing through the house.  The décor and collections were extremely well received and resulted in the sale of the house and much of its contents to an eclectic and international assortment of buyers.

The house had two rear additions that were in very poor condition. The decision was made to remove rather than restore this part of the building. This left 3000 remaining square feet of house and a much larger space for an urban garden. The floor plan was completely reconfigured with new kitchen and baths throughout.

Curated Home

Every room in the house, including all the trim had been painted a 50’s mint green. This color was left on the upstairs fireplace in a playful nod to its original condition.

Historic fixtures were used with a mix of modern.  The black Octopus light fixture by Adam Wallacavage was a stunning focal piece.
