Brew PUB

Studio IQl was tasked with converting this beautiful historic building, with its circa 1600s original 2-foot thick stone walls, into a gastro pub. We left as much of the chunky original stone and moments of remaining wood beams as possible. The shelves behind the bar, counters, and “cage” covering the beer tanks are all custom-designed steel. We worked with the fabulous Kate Rains at Mothpaper to find just the right wall graphics and upholstery. Kate’s images can also be printed on fabrics. Chris Poehlmann, the owner of CP Lighting, worked with us to create the bar lights. We wanted them to look like floating ghosts of original oil lamps. Irish pub “snugs” were used as inspiration to create a cosy and intimate experience.
